The Holy Trinity Church Catechism of the Catholic Doctrine (CCD) Program offers religious education to the children from 1st grade through 8th grade from non-catholic schools. The program is committed to form the catholic faith of the children through age appropriate education about the Scripture, the Catholic traditions, and church Magisterium.
The Holy Trinity CCD Program consists of two major programs: Program for Faith Formation of the Children; and Program for the Catechists Formation.
The Holy Trinity CCD program for children faith formation is divided into two parts: Sacramental Preparation and Continuing Education.
1. Sacrament Preparation: The sacramental preparation is a 2 year program starting from the first grade through the second grade.
2. Continuing Program: The Continuing Porgram is designed for the 3rd grade through the 8th grade students who have recieved the Sacraments of Confession and Holy Communion. The students in this program age-appropriately educated on the truths of the Catholic faith woven into the Creed; the sacramental life of the Church; life in Christ; and prayer.
Through education about Liturgy, prayers, sacred scriptures and catholic traditions, the Holy Trinity CCD Program aims to spread the Good news of Jesus Christ to the parish children and their families. Adult religious education is offered to parents as well because the program preaches that the parents are the primary religious educator of their children. Family involvement is a key component to the child's faith formation.
